PILT Training: Building Practitioner Resilience | 1 CE Credit

Attendees will learn about aspects of the mental health professional role, qualities of resilient practitioner resilience, and evidence-based strategies for building resilience in clinical practice.

Level of programming is intermediate: assumes general familiarity with the topic. 

This training is designed to help attendees: 

• Identify key aspects of mental health professional role   
• Describe qualities of practitioner resilience  
• Discuss resiliency strategies for clinical practice 

The presentation is designated for CARE psychologists and mental health professionals (LP, LPC/LPCC, MFT/LMFT, LGSW/LICSW, LADC), pre-licensed mental health practitioners, and students. 

CARE Counseling is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CARE maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

About the Presenters:  

Heidi Bausch-Ryan, Psy.D. LP, is a psychologist and the Associate Director of Training and Development at CARE Counseling. Heidi has studied the experiences of grief and losses associated with substance use and recovery, for the individual, family members, and significant others. She has received additional training in the area of substance use disorders, as well as delivered professional training presentations on grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, co-occurring concerns, recovery pathways, and resiliency. Prior to graduating with a doctoral degree, Dr. Bausch-Ryan worked in residential substance use treatment and on an in-patient dual diagnosis unit, serving adolescents to young adults with mental health and substance use concerns. Her clinical interests include grief, substance use and recovery, life transitions, identity explorations, and building resilience.
