PILT Training: Working with Affective Concerns | 1 CE Hours

Clinicians will learn important aspects about therapeutic approaches and therapy interventions to use in their therapy practice.

CARE Psychotherapy Training Videos are intended solely for educational purposes for mental health professionals. Viewers are expected to treat confidential material found herein according to professional guidelines. Unauthorized viewing is prohibited. 

Level of programming is introductory: assumes minimal familiarity with the topic.  

This training is designed to help attendees:  

• Define two+ theoretical approaches to working with depression/affective concerns  
• Describe three+ interventions for depression/bipolar that you can add to your "toolbox" 
• Develop two+ ways of writing treatment plan goals and objectives when working with depression/affective concerns 

The presentation is designated for CARE Counseling mental health professionals (LP, LPC/LPCC, MFT/LMFT, LGSW/LICSW, LADC), pre-licensed mental health practitioners, and students. 

CARE Counseling is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CARE maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

About the Presenters:  

Heidi Bausch-Ryan, Psy.D., LP, mental health professional and the Associate Director of Training & Development at CARE Counseling. For the past seven years, Dr. Bausch-Ryan has gained clinical training and professional experience as a generalist practitioner: on inpatient behavioral health units, at an outpatient mental health practice, in a university department of psychiatry, and at a residential substance use treatment center. She has delivered professional training presentations on topic such as modalities of therapy, grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, co-occurring concerns, recovery pathways, and resiliency. 
 
Emmanuelle Hansen, Psy.D., LP, mental health professional and clinical supervisor at CARE Counseling. For the past six years, Dr. Hansen has gained clinical training and professional experience as a generalist practitioner at various levels of inpatient, outpatient and intensive outpatient care. She has delivered professional training presentations on topic such as ADHD and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
