CARE Counseling has partnered with Children's Minnesota to provide a Grand Rounds training on effective ways of working with kids and their family systems. Anna Bohlinger, PhD, LMFT, will provide an overview on how families are so much greater than the sum of their parts. In this presentation, attendees will begin to think about how families are made up of both known and unknown elements and begin to articulate how to help family members speak their known into the clinical room. Specific attention will be paid to working well with adolescents and their families.

About the Presenter: Anna Bohlinger, PhD LMFT is a seasoned family therapist who has spent the past sixteen years working to improve health and vitality for youth and families impacted by severe and persistent mental illness. She is especially interested in the intergenerational impacts of trauma and how families come together in resilience. In addition to her academic work as a published author in these topics, she has presented locally, domestically, and abroad on family resilience and health.
