CARE Counseling has partnered with the Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota, and we are excited to learn from Elizabeth Panetta, MSW, LICSW. This Grand Rounds is dedicated to learning about providing gender-affirming care to transgender and gender-expansive individuals. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn evidence-based practices rooted in gender affirmation and the role of mental health practitioners in accessing gender-affirming care. Attendees will also gain confidence in understanding gender along with building capacity in understanding gender dysphoria as a diagnosis.

About the Presenter:
Elizabeth Panetta is a licensed independent clinical social worker and psychotherapist with the Eli Coleman Institute for Sexual and Gender Health through the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Elizabeth currently works with gender expansive and transgender individuals across the lifespan, and has extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, ranging from people who are currently unhoused to recent immigrants and refugees to the United States. Within their practice, Elizabeth prioritizes trauma-focused lenses based in disability justice, decolonization, harm reduction, sex positivity, and antiracism.
