About the Presenter:

Having worked with autistic children and their families in high school and college, Dr. Helmen decided that she wanted to be the person at the start of the diagnostic process who provided supportive, informed care. She specialized in autism and pediatric neuropsychology during her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship. For the past 9 years, Dr. Helmen has had the privilege of providing neuropsychological evaluations for children with a variety of developmental concerns in an outpatient clinical setting. Dr. Helmen developed a special interest in assessment of ‘subtle but significant’ presentations of autism and 2E (gifted + has a disability). Dr. Helmen opened a new private practice, Developmental Discoveries, PLLC, in August 2022.

*The speaker has indicated one conflict of interest, naming of place of work during the presentation; however, there was no commercial support for this training.
