CARE Counseling has partnered with Caroline Haimm, PhD, staff psychologist at the Center for Anxiety and Behavior Therapy for this training on a treatment approach with parents. Dr. Haimm works with children and adults with anxiety and related disorders. She will be presenting on a parent-based treatment for child anxiety called Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). SPACE comprises two primary components, helping parents: 1) respond to their anxious child with increased support, and 2) work to reduce parental accommodation of anxiety. This Grand Rounds will focus on providing a brief overview of SPACE treatment and its strategies. It will be useful for any clinician working with anxious children and families.
