Integrating Digital Wellbeing for Mental Wellbeing | 1 CE Credit

CARE Counseling has partnered with Maree Hampton, M.Ed, CHES, the Co-founder and former Co-Executive Director of LiveMore ScreenLess for this training on Integrating Digital Wellbeing for Mental Wellbeing. Maree Hampton currently consults with public health and mental health professionals to provide digital wellbeing expertise and guidance. Ms. Hampton will share the research on the negative impacts of today's 24/7 technology society and offer tools and resources for digital wellbeing promotion. The tools and practices shared can be utilized with both adults and young people within clinical practice

CARE Psychotherapy Training Videos are intended solely for educational purposes for mental health professionals. Viewers are expected to treat confidential material found herein according to professional guidelines. Unauthorized viewing is prohibited.

The CARE Grand Rounds is intended to help attendees:
1. Understand the research about the effects of overuse and misuse of technology on wellbeing, particularly mental wellbeing
2. Summarize data findings from focus groups with young people
3. Utilize the findings to apply to individual and group therapy

The presentation is designated for psychologists and mental health professionals (LP, LPC/LPCC, MFT/LMFT, LGSW/LICSW, LADC), pre-licensed mental health practitioners, and students.

About the Presenter:

Maree Hampton, M.Ed, CHES, is the Co-founder and former Co-Executive Director of LiveMore ScreenLess, a nonprofit established in 2019, focused on promoting digital wellbeing for and with young people. Ms. Hampton has a Masters in Education and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She currently consults with public health and mental health professionals so they can integrate digital well-being into their work in the community. Ms. Hampton has extensive experience presenting to national and statewide organizations and associations and is passionate about providing practical tools and resources to support the healthy use of technology.

CARE Counseling is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. CARE maintains responsibility for this program and its content. It is the responsibility of each learner to verify that continuing education earned at CARE or elsewhere meets the requirements for their State and individual license.

To receive 1 CE credit(s): Clinicians will need to attend the full training hour and obtain a passing post test score (max of 3 attempts allotted).  CARE maintains attendance records of all continuing education event attendees for a period of at least three years.
